Yes, its a 190 State Sponsored Skilled Visa, but so far I've only had my occupation recognised by TRA for migration purposes.

I am UK trained but am currently living in Israel and have been for the last 10 years. I've been working as an Instrument tech in a Natural Gas Transmission company.

how come your application is taking so long? 3 years is dragging it a bit isn't it. i was told by an agent (lawyer) 8 months from time of application I would have the visa.

but to apply for it you need to be a holder of Skilled Regional Sponsored 475 and 487 Visas. These are skilled visas which require a skill.

...but to be eligible for the regional sposorship, you have to have passed a skills assessment in the nominated position from the SOL. So without already having a trade or other qualifications...

The job is listed on the SOL - Electronic instrument tradeworker (special class)
The assessing body is TRA... but they have two assesments. One is the trade assessment for which I need my...
