In terms of land and build, be careful when it says $300,000 as it will only be for the land in most cases.

My advice get over here and rent for at least 6 months, you'll have time to explore...

Left the UK in Nov 12 and went back lat month to tie up a few things...biggest change I saw was the number of pot holes on roads. Might be a good idea hiring a 4 x4 ;)

Filled the online application for State Sponsorship in Western Australia last night, got the approval today :D

My question is online application for 176 it asks to select a 'State or Territory...

I had to retake the IELTS so managed to get 8 and above on all the sections.

Any idea what the processing time is for 175?

Yep skills assessment has been done and approved :)

Any chance of a link to applying online for 175 Visa? (ignore found it)

I presume 175 will give me the option of working in any state?

Joojay pls see below the points I am claiming:

30 = points for age
20 = IELTS test
05 = 3 out of the last 10 years post qualification skilled work experience
10 = diploma level...

Yes it's on SOL1 (Architect)

I presume State Sponsorship is needed?

Didn't know about Visa 175, will look into that.

Update - I took the IELTS 18/02 in Rugby, score L 9 R 8 W 7.5 S 9 Overall 8.5.

I checked and AACA require minimum 6.5 however hoping to get state sponsorship so not to sure if W 7.5 will effect...

Thanks for clearing that up, we have sent out over 200 CVs and not one is currently offering sponsorship, hence going down the route of applying as a Skilled Migrant. :o;)

Looks like we'll have to shell out $1050.00 for the assessment with ACAA :(
