Both Australia and Canada are definitely options though ultimately, the US is my preferred choice/ultimate goal. 3 friends have just gone out there - one to work in the Daily Mail office in NYC, one...

No it's fine, I appreciate the honesty! I'm an optimist though and I can't believe for a second that it's impossible to get out there permanently!

What about somehow getting a H1B for a job and working until I achieve GC/Citizenship and then doing the teacher training? Foreign student tuition fees are killers.

Yeah I have looked into this. The PGCE is recognised in the US I believe, but the GTP isn't. So I'll aim to do a PGCE!
