Well,

My fiancee had her visa interview on Monday at the US embassy in London and...........it has been granted!!

So its all systems go - we're both quite nervous/anxious but really excited.

Although I love Scotland dearly (apart from the weather) and will miss a lot of things, Tennants larger certainly won't be one of them, also the idea of going into a faux Scottish tilted kilt chain...

I've gathered that, though some of the bigger operators do seem to offer health and dental, but healthcare is yet another thing on the long list we will be researching .........

Well I physically have my social security card as for tax that is something I still have to look into??

Yeah, by life I meant in the industry we both work in is a more rewarding and the 40 weeks of rain we get a year on the west coast of Scotland was also a big selling point to move to southern CA.:)

I am an American citizen, born in NJ, moved to the UK when i was 5, I still hold my US passport as well as a UK one we have been together 5 years and are moving...
