So is there a chance that I could apply, pay the money and get rejected without refund? That sounds really harsh.

Brilliant, the fees are better than I thought. Also, I thought that anybody who hit the criteria would get in just fine. So the amount of points that I would score are ranked against others who apply...

Sorry for only just getting around to responding here. Thankyou for all of your responses. With the removal of requirements coming later this year then I will apply as soon as I can get the money...

I'm in the earliest stages of the process, meaning that i'm just researching. I was unsure if i'd need to do the IELTS, but i'm assuming it will be fairly easy.

I don't actually have an occupation...

I get 30 points for being 30, 20 points for having superior English language ability (British national) and 15 points for holding a degree.
