Just called the CBP Call Center.

I was told that ETD are accepted only when travelling into the US by land.
When travelling by air you have to register on the ESTA with a valid passport number....

I talked with the British Consulate here in Toronto yesterday,and after explaining my situation, they made an appoinment for me to go in and get an ETD to travel to the US. I am planning to travel...

I just called the careline. Was not too much help at all. I was told to call back 5 business days before my expected date of travel. That is cutting it too close for comfort. How do they expect...

I have contacted the helpdesk and have been told that it's upto a ten week wait from the payment date.

Are there any other updates in terms of getting things rushed along?
