My understanding of the VAT tax was that it was volitile and was consistantly going up - without much notice to the public. We also do not know which items are taxed the VAT of 24%.

The cost of food and clothing..is that taxed in Valencia? Here in Boston; uncooked...

Thank you. We are all learning Spanish now. The adults are in "conversational Spanish" while my children are taking lessons an hour a week. We have a lot of things labeled around the house in Spanish...

As the OP'er I would never interrupt the heated topic about female genital manipulation, the extra money people are forced to pay for utilities, cable tv/internet or whether or not wine snobs exits...
