I passed my driving test in CA about 1 month after being here - biggest tip, go somewhere in the suburbs ( the DMV in Simi Oak in LA County had no queue for example, anywhere in LA...

It's nothing too mental, just a 4 seat Merc / AMG Convertible. It's sensible enough to want to drive coast to coast and interesting enough to want to choose above Zipcar.
I may even sell it in...

I always loved those car sharing sites, but there are other things, not least the idea of a long roadtrip to start a new adventure.
Love the bumper thing.
I thought drivers could not get much worse...

Thanks very much for your answers, I'd really like to get some feedback on my particular questions if possible. I've used Zipcar,Streetcar, Whipcar and even Hertz connect before, I love them but...

I spent a lot of life in these gray/grey areas - I move around a lot and never know where I am let alone authorities (I am not hiding from anything I promise)

I'm going to be "living" in New York...
