It's a shame these things go on but..... there are things that go on in the UK that look odd to others. Is a bird eating crops any different to rabbits doing the same? Pest control 'in moderation' is...

The fishing around Tavira is great, lots of Bass swim in on the tide. Lots of locals fish for their supper, I always give my fish (unless it's a good one) to the locals.

The hardware shop near the swimming pool in Tavira has a decent range of basic ones. The 125 out of Faro has quite a few big DIY shops that stock gas ones. I like the basic charcoal ones myself.

Try a couple of runs of fishing line stretched along the top of the wall where they want to nest, I used corks as spacers so the line sits a little off the wall. Use drawing pins or nails to secure...

Overspending - as simple as that. A childlike inability to say no to projects and save money.

Somthing that bugs me is the waste of money in Portugal, the projects seem to be pointless in many...

There are lots of boats that are free to takers, if you go to Olhao there is a boat club (very east end of the town, between the port and the shops) that has a section where boats that have not paid...
