Thanks, I have always been honest about my pets when I was renting here in the UK, and you're right, it helps to have a good relationship with your landlord from the start. Thanks for all the advice...

Unfortunately those sort of people give those of us who are responsible animal owners a bad name. My dog is NEVER left alone all day - I wouldn't dream of it, I currently live in a ground floor flat...

How easy is it to rent with a dog and a cat in tow? In the apartment my family has in Torremolinos everyone seems to have dogs, but I imagine most of them own their own apartments...My dog is small...
