Thank you for your kind message, I arrived in Cairns last week, and to say it's been a bit hectic is an understatement I think, lol!

Yes, he's stayed on for an extra swing at work in PNG so he can have a longer field break for when I arrive. That means we can sort out lots of things such as accommodation, bank account etc before...

Thanks for that! There seems to be a lot of mixed messages about the teaching scene in Cairns at the moment, I'll see how I get on, not too hopeful though to be honest!

Thank you for finding that out Sally, very interesting information! I did wonder whether these complexe would be quite noisy and almost hotel like. I will keep this in mind for sure.

I've also heard the same about the teaching...have had messages from a couple of teachers in Cairns who are being very helpful so fingers crossed!

At the moment he's staying at a motel in Trinity paid for by the company, he's going to set up some apartment viewings with some agencies for when I arrive.

I used to live in Egypt and have flown EgyptAir many times to and from the UK and the UAE. I'd consider it a 'no frills' airline...it's definitely not the worst airline I've ever flown on,...
