No idea if they are more laxed now. I've known of a few people from the US using their 401ks going back to 2013 or so. I know the UK site specifically referenced the 401k as being looked at the same...

That 200 amount is accurate. I called and spoke with HSBC yesterday and that's what they advised. We are 'thinking' about it but aren't certain just yet if we will or won't. It would be nice to have...
