Re: Processing time for interview in Vancouver

I don't believe Vancouver opens provisional files any longer. At least they didn't when I went through Vancouver. But really, once your file has reached the consulate, and you've received Packet 3,...

Re: Canadian Criminal Police Check - Waiting time??

Do you have a criminal record? Is that why you applied for the fingerprint based check? If you do not have a criminal record, then you don't need to bother with the fingerprint based check. All...

Re: Time between packet 4 and Montreal interview?

There are a few people on the Visajourney.com site that are having their interviews in Montreal. Most of them received dates about 4-6 weeks from sending in the checklist.

Re: Any interview exp in Vancouver?

Not too many people around going through Vancouver from what i've seen. Seems most Canadians are through Montreal.

Re: NVC Approved and sent to Peru

Congratulations. I noticed that NVC received your file on the same day as mine. Thinking i'm gonna call the NVC myself today, and see what's up with our case.

Yay!!! We're approved by TSC on Feb. 23/04.

Only 140 days of waiting, not so bad i'm thinking.

Now just praying that our approved petition doesn't get lost in TSC before its sent to the...

Re: How long until receipt of first NOA

I don't think the NOA1 is really all that important, other than it provides you with a receipt date and your Case # so you can check your case status online.

If they have already cashed your...

Re: TSC-Processing K-1 7/23

Here's the link:
http://macallan.homeunix.org/bcis/

He's developed a database of I-129F petitions from TSC. Its very informative, much more than the Processing Reports put out by TSC. If your...

Re: K1 Visa Question?

I don't believe it takes 2 yrs to get AP. From what i understand, you file for AP along with your AOS & EAD and it should only take 3-6 months or so to receive. Someone correct me if i'm wrong,...

Re: No NOA yet

Hi,

What you can do is... if you've paid by check, you can check to see if your payment has cleared your bank. If its cleared your bank, then you can expect to receive your NOA in the mail in a...

Re: Ten Foot Pole!

Just out of curiousity, but does anyone have any idea of what percentage of people actually do get denied AOS and/or deported/banned when adjusting status from VWP?? Might change the minds of...

Re: Canadian criminal check

I was under the impression that the Consulates would only accept the RCMP criminal checks, not the ones from your local police station. I also thought the RCMP only did fingerprinting if there was a...

Katie,

I've also considered doing some volunteer work until my EAD is processed. The thought of sitting around doing nothing for 3 or so months is difficult for me. I've always had a full time...

You make a good point about having an additional wait for the K-3. I'm sure we'll get approved...eventually, lol. I think ours is a pretty straight forward case, no criminal records, no overstays,...
