Which RMIT campus? Melbourne CBD is pretty clicky, some good bars and cafes, but mots of them are hidden down alley ways. Try exploring some of the alley ways and you'll be amazed at what you find. ...

$80,000 is quite good for two people living in Sydney, even after tax. You should be able to pick up a nice 2br apartment close to the city for around $350 a week, and live pretty comfortably.

Dubai is a nice city, a lot less happening than Hong Kong though - and therefore a lot more relaxing. Jumeira is full of British expats, and I doubt you'll have any trouble fitting in.
