How come my 8 years of work related contributions to NI don't go against the definition of "no earnings related component to the pension" ? What am I misunderstanding?

I have been reading most of the pages of this thread and none of it covers my type of circumstance so here is my position.

I worked 8 years in the UK and NI contributions were paid for those years...

Try also "World Market", a sub of "Bed Bath and Beyond" and many BBB stores have a sub section for WM food these days. Quite a good range of Brit foods/candies etc.

Hi unfortunately I recently moved from NJ to the Charlotte area. Make sure you take some walks around the Hoboken area as there are great restaurants and bars there. Enjoy.

Cricket is now a 100% owned sub of AT&T Wireless and uses their entire network but w/o the roaming option onto other GSM networks. But one should always check coverage at your home etc. for any cell...

One has to suspect that the reason why they want to see ALL passports and all pages is really because they want to see where people have been visiting... Think IS etc. But they do not want to...

The most accepted standard for "letters" worldwide is A4, whether it's called a "letter" or not. While a slightly larger size is also commonly used in the USA we are dealing with inflexible UK civil...

I believe the new system of online passport renewal application system with a follow up couriered signed 2 pager and photos will actually improve the turn around time...eventually.

Also before you sign with any carrier check their website for coverage maps to ensure you have good coverage where you spend most of your time.

All in they cost just under $7.00 per month for all USA/Canada...

The carriers such as Verizon, AT&T are very expensive. It works out less expensive if you buy you own phone then take one of the prepaid (monthly) services such as:|
Straight Talk (Walmart sells it)...

This morning the London Times carried a front page article about the "row" over the delays at the UK Passport office. It says a second processing office will be opened shortly in Liverpool to help...
