SC - Some Brits MUST live here???
#16

Anyone in Mount Pleasant area fancy meeting up for a beer or 2? My and the husband feel like a night out without the kids and it would be nice to meet some fellow expats.

Hi y'all
We have just (5 days ago) moved into a house in Simpsonville, SC. we are here for at least 3 years on L-visas, as my husband works for an automotive company with a factory in the area.
We have moved from the south coast of the UK. Would love to meet other expats in the area. We have 3 boys under 6, so life is pretty hectic. Hope to hear from you soon

Welcome Clare,
I think I own a car from that manufacturer - official address in Greer? Just off I85? Incorporating the letters B, M and W?
We are near Toccoa, Georgia, which is probably about 50 miles south of you. I lived in Bournemouth for two and a half years before I came over here 15 years ago.

I live in Augusta, GA Nikki. Have you found many others in the area? I work in Aiken too! Would you like to maybe get a group of us together and meet up for dinner one night? Email me and let me know.

Awww Sue, wish I'd known that a few months ago... I live in Michigan now, we moved up here in June
It was far too hot down there for me, so now I'm in 2 ft of snow and loving it!

We were in Savannah on Monday briefly. Didn't have chance to go to any pubs though. I'm in Mt Pleasant with husband and kids.

I've posted earlier - my husband and I live in Summerville
For anyone in the Charleston area, a new chippie called the Codfather is due to open in early June, on Reynolds Ave, near the shipyard. Supposedly 'traditional English' fish and chips... I hope so, as the hubby and I have been disappointed in the past!
