Anyone in Mount Pleasant area fancy meeting up for a beer or 2? My and the husband feel like a night out without the kids and it would be nice to meet some fellow expats.

Hi y'all

We have just (5 days ago) moved into a house in Simpsonville, SC. we are here for at least 3 years on L-visas, as my husband works for an automotive company with a factory in the area.

We have moved from the south coast of the UK. Would love to meet other expats in the area. We have 3 boys under 6, so life is pretty hectic. Hope to hear from you soon

Welcome Clare,

I think I own a car from that manufacturer - official address in Greer? Just off I85? Incorporating the letters B, M and W?

We are near Toccoa, Georgia, which is probably about 50 miles south of you. I lived in Bournemouth for two and a half years before I came over here 15 years ago.

I'm originally from Bolton, now living in Charleston. Always willing to meet a fellow Brit!

There's a bar in Savannah called Churchill's. Does all kinds of delightful English foods

We were in Savannah on Monday briefly. Didn't have chance to go to any pubs though. I'm in Mt Pleasant with husband and kids.

I've posted earlier - my husband and I live in Summerville

For anyone in the Charleston area, a new chippie called the Codfather is due to open in early June, on Reynolds Ave, near the shipyard. Supposedly 'traditional English' fish and chips... I hope so, as the hubby and I have been disappointed in the past!

There is a new British pub in Mt Pleasant called "My Fathers Mustache" and it is, unfortunately, the official Charsenal Supporters Club, pub. They do good fish and chips. I'm taking the husband there for Fathers Day.
