Re: Getting a photo album sent over to Aus - import tax?

Update is that it arrived with no problem at all. The photographer valued it at under $1000 and sent it guaranteed delivery and I am very happy with it!

The agent still says we need to do all the stuff...

Re: 457 visa for British baby born in Australia

Thanks elice, that's very helpful. It does appear to me that the agent is treating it like a new application. Anyway dh has sent the migration act link to them so we will see what they say now.

Re: 457 visa for British baby born in Australia

That's a pain :frown: I was hoping we might be able to sort it out quicker without the agent.

Now the fun bit will be going to the Medicare office without a visa for her, and trying to get her...

Re: 457 visa for British baby born in Australia

Luna Park (Sydney) - is it worth buying an unlimited rides pass?

I've promised my 10 yr old that we are going to Luna Park so I'll have to deliver! I was thinking of going this Sunday as it's still offpeak. (Prices go up on Boxing Day.) I've looked at reviews on...

Re: Applying for schools in NSW: who 'certifies' the copies of passport and visa

Thanks very much Sandra - both of your suggestions are worth considering. It's also worth knowing there are other heathens around! I was getting the impression that we were a rarity - certainly...

Re: Applying for schools in NSW: who 'certifies' the copies of passport and visa

Hi again and thanks for the replies.

Yes we are both aware of the fees, and they will not be paid by the employer specifically but they are paying a certain lump amount towards our immigration,...

Hi

My husband and I plus 3 kids are coming to Sydney in January on a 457. Once we've found a place to rent, I aim to enrol the school-aged boys in the nearest public school. I found this website...
