Montreal recce trip- May

Ok, we've been umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether to stay in the UK or not. We've finally decided to stop dithering and go and see Montreal to work out if it could suit us.

But no, the pay isn't amazing! I'm not sure it could be called a 'cut-throat industry' (no more than any other in these rubbishy times!) Certainly in the UK, it isn't quite as pretty from the inside...

Self-employment and tax in Montreal

I've just spent a baffling hour trying to research self-employment tax in Montreal. I've been on the Quebec revenue site, but am still flummoxed.

I heard somewhere that you were allowed $30,000...

well, yes, I'm pretty sure 14 would be pushing it for me- sorry, moi! My maths is in line with the average 7 year old, I think!
