Thanks Soukie, I didn't know that. AD pays much more than Qatar, Oman and Saudi. And thanks for the tax advice: nobody told me that.

£42,000 p.a. roughly, plus free accomm., plus 6 weeks sick pay, plus 6/8 weeks paid vacation, plus 1 month's salary as a bonus at the end of the year, plus medical insurance. Is that ok?

According to the Internet, and the AD publicity blurbs, Al Gharbiya is being touted as the next big thing. It's being developed as a tourist region complete with multi million pound hotels, car...
