Not sure if this means anything but upon searching to the exact place the meds were sent to on the UPS tracking site, it says MASCOT NSW.

Very true, but IELTS are quite aware of the purpose you are taking the exam as it asks for this information in the application. Maybe this information should remain anonymous, just an idea.

But I am talking about the need for a UK nurse to prove IELTS for UK registration with the NMC, not nurses from other countries.

Surely if IELTS was an important requirement for any nurse to do...
