All good, I actualy think that the reason why my friend and also I had to get new police clearances was because we had our PR's activated and then left Aust and then re-entered, spending our 2 years...

I think you will. Everybody that I know had to submit a clearance. And i think it is only valid for 6 months, so get an updated one before applying. (If you dont have it and they ask for it, it will...

Hi, I am in Toowong, so not sure under what council I will fall. What number did you phone? Immigration or the council?

Just an update:
I received my appoval letter on the 01/07/2010 it was dated 24/06/2010.
I am now waiting to hear when the ceremony is! Hope its soon!

Hi, if i may ask, when did you submit your aplication? (Date?) How long did it take from submission till getting an answer from DIAC?

Aaa, ok, thx, I was under the impression that we can stil travel with the old passport with the PR in that. But it does make sense that it would lapse when you have been accepted as a citizen hey.......

Hi All!

I fall under the 2 in 5 rule. I was eligable on the 21/05/2010 and applied the same day. I did my citizenship test before that, so I apparently dont need to go to an interview.
I have not...
