I'll soon be eligible for citizenship. I haven't left Aus since entering with my spouse 309 visa nearly four years ago.
Does anyone know if I still have to submit police certificates?
Thanks

I wasn't asked for police clearances when I did my application a couple of months ago.

The OP hasn't left Australia since arrivng here. I can't see any reason why you think they would need a pcc. Just because you friend needed one doesn't mean everyone else will.

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't decide from reading the DIAC page but if there are people who've not had to get PCCs I may risk it.
Then again... there's a good financial reason why I'd like to get it asap so it would be annoying if I had a problem due to no PCCs.

But Diac is very helpfull, so might be good to get first hand expert advice from them. They normaly ask you passport numnber and can tell you exactly. They have it all on record these days with a touch of a button.
Best of luck

All good, I actualy think that the reason why my friend and also I had to get new police clearances was because we had our PR's activated and then left Aust and then re-entered, spending our 2 years here and then submitted our aplications. So if your visa was granted and you did not spend much time outside of Aus or take to long to get here, then you should be ok.

And don't ring the citizenship (un)Helpline as the amount of wrong information reported in this forum that came from them is shocking. A registered migration agent would be a better source for reliable info.

heg3 hasn't left Australia since arriving on a Spouse visa, Police checks aren't going to be needed - see the link above.
