Even if emotionally attached to your king-sized bed, I would not recommend shipping it back to the UK. Bed size is different in the UK & Europe, and you would have a much harder time finding bed...

I know next to nothing about Cornwall either, but looking at the map, I would imagine that Falmouth, Truro and Plymouth (yes, I know, in Devon) are the places to look.

My understanding (limited) is that you should not be taxed on any SAVINGS at all in the UK.

Nor should you be UK-taxed on any INCOME that you make overseas, if you return to the UK partway...

I would ballpark it and say that you should be able to get a 2-bed 2-bath place of decent quality for between $2.5k and $3.5k. Looking at eMoo there is a fairly decent selection at the moment, maybe...

Here is a link to eMoo, which is a good little site for getting an idea about rentals and stuff for sale.

This is not the only source to look at for rental properties, but it is a good starting...

At the moment they are very open as to where they want to live, but Brindisi seems to be the place that they have mentioned most often. Currently they are staying in Oria, as it is so central.

Ok, knowing that you have a container to fill, it is easier to talk about.

DO NOT bring anything that is going to be destroyed by humidity/damp/mould. I've had friends that have had to chuck out...

To get a work permit for Bermuda, you need to have a job offer from a Bermuda company.

The best way to do this from outside Bermuda is to look for a recruitment firm that is advertising job...

Do not bring anything electrical (with small exceptions, like iPads) as the power system is the US one (two pin, different voltage), not the UK one. And bedding - US beds and UK beds are different...

As far as rental market goes, currently, it is pretty good - it is a buyer's market. There are "lots" (for Bermuda) of apartments available at the moment.

Rule of thumb - a decent one bedroom...
