Re: 457 visa holders working in ICT occupation

I believe job title should not be a problem when you apply for the sponsorship or assessment. Make sure that your reference/experience letters have a clear job description with the technologies you...

No you can run both the applications in parallel. You cannot lodge both the applications online instead you can have second one paper-based.

Re: 175 withdrawl

Hi Canadian1021,

You don't have to withdraw your 175 for lodging 176. Instead you can run both the applications in parallel. For withdrawal, DIAC will take 6-10 weeks to complete the process. So I...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

Today I dialed DIAC and I came to know that, for withdrawal they will take at least 30 working days for the process before allowing you to lodge another application online.

So think twice before...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

Hi,

It is possible to run two applications in parallel but one of the application should be paper-based out of the two.

If you don't want to have two options in your hand and if you are fine...

Re: Paper based application

If there is no concrete reason, then I would always recommend going for online application. But I am not sure about the processing time difference and tracking of paper applications.

Re: 175 withdrawal application

I apologize Bermudashorts, I confused myself and yourself a lot. Okie, let me have my 175 application run parallel to my 176. As I cannot have both of them applied online, I will have my 176...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

Yes Bermudashorts, I understand your point but I am fine with the risk involved. All I am concerned is about the waiting time involved. Is it illegal to lodge a paper-based application for 176 in...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

Yes I will write to DIAC. The processing time of 175 is almost 24 months and I don't want to wait for such a long time. Even if I am granted the 175 visa, I am planning to settle down in NSW. So I...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

Yes I understand the rule and I have pointed the same in my question. All I am planning to do is, withdraw the old one (175) and re-lodge a new application (176). So I just want to know how to...

Re: 175 withdrawal application

I think you have got me wrong. I am not planning to have both the applications in parallel. Instead I am planning to withdraw the ongoing application and re-lodge a fresh application.

Re: 175 withdrawal application

I have already obtained sponsorship from NSW so there is no worry. One cannot lodge 176 visa application without withdrawing the 175 visa as per the new changes implemented on July 2010.

Re: Finally NSW SMP is out

You are right because the NSW site is still not yet updated. But DIAC has updated the news from their side. Have a look in to the new processing time update from DIAC too.
