Haven't done the 230s yet... do I need to do those at the same time as the 864? (it doesn't say so in the instructions), or do I just wait until they give me more info after the I864?

I have two I130s in the system - one for each of my parents... It's funny cos I applied for my Dad last Oct and my Mum in March of this year. They are now 'caught up' and appear to be being processed...

Ok - so I have the # from the back of the check... it does begin with EAC, and is 13 digits long, but it hard to read from the photocopy and when I put the # in DHS website it says there is no record...

Interesting Q... but I dont get the full cheque back from my bank anymore - they photocopy them and send me the photocopy! Maybe I can get in touch with my bank to find out...

I submitted an application for my Dad in mid October and am still waiting for an NOA/reciept. They cashed the cheque so I know it is there, but I dont have anything either. Very frustrating!

Thanks!! you're right - my Dad called and they said he can stop in and get a long version. Fancy that - I've gone through my whole life with 'half' a birth certificate! I can't believe I've gone this...

...So I am filing an I-130 for My Dad at the moment, and the form I had printed a while ago stated the fee was $190 (up from $130 when I filed in 2003). So I was SHOCKED when I checked their site...
