I used to volunteer in Scotland for the CAB. They are very helpful and have lawyers who can advise for free on a variety of topics. Might be worth a phone call ?

slow - but getting there - almost 1 year !! so so diff from UK - complete culture shock !! .... but did not expect it !(... having a bit of a hard time getting used to stuff to tell you the truth :-)
