Re: Supporting Funds for BUNAC

Thanks for the help. I have been very busy today, and my mind has been split between many different things, so I haven't really had chance to get back to this thread.

Re: Help with errands etc?

That was my point. But, anyway, it doesn't matter. It's all been said. Let's nip it in the bud.

Re: Help with errands etc?

I am not attempting to engage you in an argument. I just think one would be better served to know the circumstances of the individual, before assuming what they are or are not capable of doing. So,...

Re: Bloke Question

I just thought I would post my thoughts on this, before someone else comes along and gives you a more comprehensive answer. From posts elsewhere on this forum, I believe that you cannot actually get...

Re: Help with errands etc?

Here's another thought. Why do you think he/she would be asking for someone to do the errands for them, if they saw doing it themselves as being the best option? It's quite a lot to assume that they...

Re: Exchange rate

If you never learn anything else in your life, just remember the golden rule: always blame the government. Whether you've lost your job; lost a game of golf; you're getting old; there's too much...

Running around in Calgary

My main reason for going to Calgary for five months or so is to do some sports training. In preparation for this training, I will need to go for a run on most days.

Re: help with bunac insurance

I appreciate your advice. Having re-read the e-mail from the person from BUNAC, they actually say that I would need to pay an excess of around £250 for "hands-on" work. That still wouldn't exactly be...

Re: The absolute cheapest accommodation in Calgary

Sorry, Digital Ghost. I must have not returned to the board for a few days shortly after that last post. If I still have access to the internet and a computer, which for several reasons I may not, I...

Thank you to everyone who has offered their advice to me.

ann m, you are quite accurate with the price of renting. I am afraid that I don't think the YWCA will be of much use to me, considering...

Re: The absolute cheapest accommodation in Calgary

Thank you. Unfortunately, the cheapest hostel price would work out more than renting a room in shared accommodation.

LOL. I'm afraid there are no hotels in Calgary which are on the Dirtiest...

Re: help with bunac insurance

Oh, my. I fear that I fell into that category of those who do not have quite the insight to find less expensive travel insurance for my BUNAC trip. I actually looked around, and somehow came to the...

Re: Photograph Endorsement

Thank-you. I think so, too. He is actually a Prison Nurse, and 'Nurse' is one of the suggested types of people who are eligible to endorse it. I've only just been corrected on that.

Re: Changing the Date of the Return Flight

Thank you, JGK. I think I will be okay, everything considered, just booking a standard flight. It now seems unlikely that I will want to extend the date.
