YUp, you'd have thought that wouldnt you, but thats why it was delayed the first time - we were due to satrt on a Thursday but the Judge said he expected it to last 3days and therefore he couldnt...

Of course I dont expect the criminal record not to count against me - but to ban me from the country for life - WTF?

Also - im not sure what the maximum sentence in the UK for my offence was BUT it said on the CIC letter that in Canada its a 10 year maximum.

Correct - that was the penalty imposed by the Crown Court here in the UK...

Oh can i add that the property was 2 small glass panes in a neighbours front door - i was fined £200.
