This has been raised before and the consensus was "no". After all, the bank statement will show exactly what has happened in the sense that you are just using him as a conduit to pay DIAC.

Not sure about the AOS...but the immi.gov.au site would help you there. Yes, I think he should ring them. The timeline on visas has shortened recently. Has he got a case officer yet? if not he should...

Someone on the other website has reported that they have got a Case officer, having had an acknowledgement last October....7 months! Not sure whether this is an isolated case of part of a developing...

Its all about taxation and exchange rates really, and what decisions you make over that.

You can get your teacher pension paid in Oz dollars to an Oz account if you request it but it will be paid...

I would have thought that if he has a UK passport as his main passport, just put British as you say...

Not sure they have ever used their quota......they kept threatening to queue people once they'd fulfilled their quota but don't think it ever happened

They quoted me £3520 for a 20 ft container which was the cheapest quote by at least £300.
I am actually going for a shared container as I don't have all that much stuff to take-I downsized 2 years...

There is a Centrelink number that can be phoned re this but only your assurer (your uncle) can make the phone call. When my son-in-law phoned them they were very helpful and informative-its the same...

Just don't forget your file reference number.....I think I would be inclined to send by courier as then at least you have proof that it has arrived-£20 well spent for peace of mind....
