Re: Denied US visa waiver

Thanks, that website and the number you provided are exactly what I was looking for!

The officer only said that I was admitted and to bring credit card statements from mid-late 2013 with me next...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I was able to successfully cross the land border to the US after 4 hours of questioning about my whereabouts in 2012 / 2013.

Apparently the US thinks I overstayed when I never have as I am aware...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I'm planning on reapplying for ESTA next week, if it doesn't work then I'll decide whether or not to try the land border. Ultimately the timeline for the B2 visa was too tight and it was likely I...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I've just noticed something that may or may not be a problem, in my flight booking I have my middle name included. I did not include my middle name as part of my ESTA application which also had the...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

You're right, I guess that probably was a little bit of an over exaggeration. I think it's mostly frustration at a process that should be straight forward and a non-issue being so difficult to...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I'm incredibly torn on what to do. I could apply for the visa but it may well not come back in time and I could even be denied which would mean getting to the US in the near future may well be as...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

Ok, maybe I'll try to convince my girlfriend to make the drive with me on Wednesday and take a day off work. There seem to be a few horror stories of people applying for B-2 visas, getting denied and...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I obviously would love to have the visa but the earliest I could travel there would be the weekend. Are they even open on weekends? Even if I went tomorrow would it be processed in time?

Edit: It...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

Ottawa is too far away from me to make it practical to go there, I'll ask the Toronto consulate if there's anyway they can expedite the visa process somehow.

Thanks, I'm going to try calling the consulate in Toronto today to see if they can help me too.

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I last went to the US in 2012 with an ESTA application even though I was arriving by land, I was only there for one afternoon as we went shopping and then I activated a work visa on the return to...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

Going by the government website it seems that I only need the VWP for air travel, arriving in the US by land doesn't require it:

"Residents (PR) of Canada who are landed immigrants generally need...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I see, so it seems that if all else fails I can at least take a long bus ride to and from the US.

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I'm about an hour and a half from the border, however I have already paid for a flight to New York and would like to use that ideally.

Can I travel by land to the US and then take my flight back...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I applied again under the advice from people in the US forum and was instantly denied. Is there anything else I can do? Someone suggested that I apply for a B2 visa but that will take up to 14 days...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

I have applied again and was instantly denied, is there anything else I can do? It makes no sense as I have never had any trouble entering the US previously.

Denied US visa waiver

I'm a permanent resident of Canada (that is also a citizen of the UK just to be clear) and I recently applied for the US visa waiver as I'm going to New York in 2 weeks for a vacation. I've applied...

Re: Denied US visa waiver

No, when I applied it said it would take up to 72 hours for a decision which also worried me. I've read the application over a few times and I can't see any mistakes in the questions or information...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
