I was able to successfully cross the land border to the US after 4 hours of questioning about my whereabouts in 2012 / 2013.

Apparently the US thinks I overstayed when I never have as I am aware...

Ottawa is too far away from me to make it practical to go there, I'll ask the Toronto consulate if there's anyway they can expedite the visa process somehow.

I applied again under the advice from people in the US forum and was instantly denied. Is there anything else I can do? Someone suggested that I apply for a B2 visa but that will take up to 14 days...

No, when I applied it said it would take up to 72 hours for a decision which also worried me. I've read the application over a few times and I can't see any mistakes in the questions or information...
