90 mile beach for starters..... check it out... my local beach is a road (30kph speed limit) and I can travel from one town to another down the beach.......

I am on the other side of the fence.... in that I have made the move to NZ, and now feeling the pinch. Although I am not a Medical Consultant, I too can command a 6 figure salary in the UK.......

Work may have dried up in many sectors.... I totally agree.... but this is somewhat a sweeping statement and I think it is very much dependant on spcific employment sectors.

Applying for PRV outside NZ

I have fulfilled the 2 x 184 days requirements for the PR, but now need ot wait until the 2 year milestone before I can convert my RRV to a PRV.

It is likely that I shall be in the UK at the time...

Definately want to get Permanent Residency - and have effectivey fulfilled the criteria.You can apply for IRRV or now Permanent Residency from the UK or any other...

Fulfilled requirements for indefinate now.. just have to wait for 2 years to come up to apply (184 days in each of 2 x 12 month periods). Spoke with NZIS and they have confirmed that you can apply...

My partner (bless her) moved to NZ for me..... my job..... which was a BIG thing for her as she is really close to her family. She is quite indifferent about it and can see pro and con of both.

I think it depends on a number of factors, including gender, age, and even the doctor performing the medical.

An example, a male friend the same age as me 30's had to have his testicles...
