Perhaps you misunderstood "transferred". The NVC, after it receives the I-130 for processing, inquires whether the petitioner desires the completed case to be transferred to a consulate or a USCIS...

We're approved, as of today!!!!!

Next stop, NVC and then US Consulate Montreal for the "green card" interview. So, a little over a year for I-130 processing at CSC. Not bad!

Are you sure you want to AOS??? The I-130 process is much faster (though I'm unsure of Tampa AOS processing time), cheaper (no I-485 fee), and you're already about 75% of the way there with...

Oops, oops, possible error on the CSC report. At least I hope so!

The CSC report now shows I-130 processing for spouses of 04-06-01. The last three reports were showing 02-05-03. Big difference!...

Contrary to popular knowledge, it IS possible to get a SSN without an EAD for a K-3. Whew, that's alot of acronyms! :-)...

Yeah, three days and one year! <grin>

Jo's timeline is '02, but still, nice to know we can walk in and get a temp EAD. At least last year we could!
