Hi there!
I'm near Castillon la Bataille, and loving being here in the Dordogne. The pace of life is so much better than when I was in Essex. My French is improving, but it's always my accent...

There was one company (can't remember which; when I find out I will post it on a reply) which offered a good rate, BUT wanted 5000€ as a deposit which would be returned at the 'end' ... so we didn't...

I just discovered the British Expats website today, and have really enjoyed learning all those words and phrases one is not taught at school. I wonder why this is?
My French isn't (yet) up...
