Update....
we paid the fine, they sent a letter out here (UK) after my sister-in-law in Australia sent them our details, he was driving their car and wouldn't want...

He's in Kinross, he does a different job there, he found it hard getting work but he's ok now, he has a degree in some sort of computer thingy, not sure to be honest, his wife is a hairdresser too...

Hi Alison,

We stayed with my brother and family, we still did all the normal things you do at home, food shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, even helped in the garden, we didn't eat out...

I am a little, he seems keen one minute then not the next, we both pass the points for skilled workers and he has less than 2 years in the raf, so it would be ideal to start the paperwork...
