Re: I-130 Approved - Waiting to hear from NVC

Looks like a similar timeline to mine. My I-130 was approved end of Feb and received by NVC March 4th. I didn't get DS3032 as I'm working with a lawyer (this makes the DS3032 redundant as they assume...

Re: I-130 processing times Vermont

Thanks everyone for all your helpful and supportive comments! Just to keep you up-to-date and hopefully end the need for all this back-and-forth, my I-130 was approved at the end of February so...

Re: Birth Certificate help

I really wouldn't worry about it - my husband has no clue who his father is and his mother won't talk about it, so it's only her name on the birth certificate and it hasn't presented a problem for us...

Re: obtaining digital fingerprints in UK

Thanks very much for your answers but wish they had been more along the lines of "you just need to pop down the street to XXX office and they'll do it for 20 quid in 10 minutes"... Oh well, I can...

Question obtaining digital fingerprints in UK

Hi everyone,

I recently received my NOA2 and am now working on docs for NVC. As I lived in Canada for 12 months, I need to get a police certificate from there. This involves getting fingerprints -...

Question travelling to USA with CR-1 - advice please

Does anyone have any guidance on how long it is ok to wait travelling to the USA after a CR-1 visa has been granted? I have a three month notice period at work and don't want to quit until I actually...

Re: Uk girl & Us boy

Hi all,

I think it may be ME that someone of you are referring to and so I thought I'd better contribute - especially as I got my notice of approval just yesterday!

My husband entered the UK...

Re: K-3 timeline

What I find very bizarre about this is the randomness of it all - at the moment it seems like some people who submitted I-130 in July to VSC are just getting NOA2, some people who submitted I-130 in...

Re: General Questions about Relationships & Immigration

Hi there,

I originally had exactly the same thoughts as you - so long as we're sneaky (i.e. no wedding dress in the suitcase!) why can't I just come in on VWP and get married and apply for...

Question USCIS online case status - receipt number not working

Hi everyone,

My USC husband and I submitted our I-130 on Jan 9th and received NOA1 on Jan 15th. However, I've tried entering our receipt number (with dashes omitted as per the instructions) on the...

Re: VSC I-130 & I-751 to decamp to the sunshine

Not so sure this is good news for me... I filed my I-130 first week of January and got notice that it had been received on 21st. It would have gone to Vermont so does that mean it's now right at the...

Re: Here we go from UK to USA

Thanks both. I heard back from my lawyer who said she thinks my vicar-signed certificate is ok, but based on the information you've provided here it seems it may not be. Not sure if I can get the...

Re: Here we go from UK to USA

Now I'm getting worried! My USC husband and I submitted our I-130 a couple of weeks ago to Vermont but with a Church of England marriage certificate. We went through a (recommended) lawyer so assume...

I-130 processing times Vermont

Does anyone have recent experience of I-130 processing times at Vermont Service Center for an immigrant visa? We got married in December and my hubbie submitted the petition (via a recommended...

Re: K1 v CR1- flying to the US to get married

My husband arrived in the UK on 24th December with a regular tourist visa and we got married on 27th December. I applied for the licence about 3 weeks beforehand, just by speaking to the local vicar...

Re: K1 v CR1- flying to the US to get married

Hi there

No problem with doing it that route as far as I know but you can also do the UK marriage if you get a Church of England wedding - I did this three weeks ago before filing for an immigrant...
