I suddenly realised that this would be my position if we do come to Riyadh....actually as son is already at Uni now the renewal for tuition may not have that box on it as tends to be...

Something I didn't realise when I lived in Kuwait was even if you maintain your home in UK and adult kids live there...your kids are classed as overseas students even if they have never stayed...

Thanks for the replies...I guess I should have read more posts but didn't have much time online yesterday. I wanted an idea quickly of whether life was similar to Kuwait...and in many ways it sounds...

Kuwait is actually pretty easy going in comparison to Saudi from what I've gathered and lived there for a few years...I'm now going to Riyahd and not thrilled:(

Alcohol is..kind of tolerated for...

Okay...my H has been offered a job based in Riyadh...as I already spent 3 years in Kuwait as an expat and had friends who also lived in KSA some preferred life in the compounds because they felt it...
