UK to Denmark

I'm potentially being offered a well paid senior role for a Danish company and would have to relocate. (offices Brande). myself and wife who can work remotely with her role and 2 kids aged 6 & 8. How is Denmark currently and what's it like to live from an expat perspective. I do have some background into Denmark as I was previously 7+ years ago worked for another Danish company and travelled into there office several times a month.

I've lived in Denmark since the first quarter of 1998, (my Danish girlfriend would not move to my privately owned three bedroom house in Hampshire, so I sold it and moved into her small "flat" in a shared house in Humlebæk.....). Just about everyone under 70 speaks good English, and the real oldies are pretty good as well. l learnt to speak Danish, and would regard my self as fluent now, it is not the easiest of languages, but far from impossible. Brexit has caused me a few problems, but nothing heavy, usually just really silly things. The embassy can do things like passport renewals and stuff like that, not an issue.
Something I would mention, the "well paid" bit of your message raised my eyebrow. When I arrived here and started looking for a job, the salaries looked huge, I had not factored in the exorbitant tax rates. Certainly it is possible to live here, but prices, property in particular, are "challenging".
