Default Moving to Sweden to retire

I am considering moving to Sweden with my Wife. We would like to purchase a small property and do not intend to work and will be self-funding until our respective pensions start in the near future.

Obviously the Brexit negotiations might alter current 'rights' under EU membership, as limited as they might be, but would such a move be trouble-free in terms of 'red-tape'. The reason I ask is that a recent holiday in Denmark that extended beyond 3 months (thus requiring registration) saw a tax-demand being issued based upon the value of my house in the UK and I wouldn't pursue any interest in moving should similar be the case in Sweden.

Thanks
