Re: You've just won the Lotto
3 mill I reckon. I'm only young and if I work hard I'd spend it all and die happy.
I'd get blind merry with the Mrs and both families and stick her dream ring on her finger.

Re: You've just won the Lotto
being retired already & never ever won anything in the local lottery other than a free play ticket.
Here when anyone wins its full blown disclosure, the lottery corporation publishes all the winners, not just the first prize ones.
Right, so 'one million or more'...Dollars, GBP, Euro's, Swiss Francs etc
Living where we are right now.
- Winning ticket - deep breath, take time (at least one-week before cashing in the ticket) after the excitement is over, feet back on the ground, don't tell anyone - no one, even family.
... then ...
- Day before cashing the ticket, disconnect the phone [get a pay as you go mobile from here on in], put the mail on hold at the post office, possibly a PO Box, book a flight and/or hotel away from home, straight from putting the winnings in the bank, leave immediately for a few weeks till the dust settles, while away, plan the future events.
- On sharing it: since we have two children, wife & I decided that we'd split the winnings 'four ways'
- Back home, life goes on as though it never happened

I'm with Meow, "Another Magnum of Crystal bar steward".
People who say they can't retire on £2million tax free - are they on something?
