Yes :-) a couple of glasses of wine in the evening after I finish classes, A bottle or 3 of bubbly over the weekend.. more if we go for brunch.
HOWEVER!!! I too have stopped drinking, for at least a month, if not longer, I haven't put a time limit on it so that I don't feel any pressure, I did the same when I stopped smoking and am now 4 years smoke free :-D
I have decided to do other things this year, I am taking skiing lessons soon, I am going bowling, for the very first time ever this week :-)
I have a total fear of water, but I am considering taking a trail scuba lesson to try and overcome that, then I hope to start sailing lessons.. still not sure about this though
I am getting more involved with my charity work http://www.justgiving.com/nepalchildfreedom and I plan to volunteer to help the disabled riding thing they have here.
Anyway, wish me luck, if I can do half of these things I will do well

I do and have done for as long as I can remember, be it a 2 litre bottle of strongbow at home as a late teen to a bottle of wine a night since the mid 20's. By the time you add on 2/3 nights out or seeing friends its a lot of units without ever being totally smashed or thinking it affects you.
Must say though at day 5, I am just as tired in the mornings and I wake up feeling hungover and dehydrated still?! I thought I would be bouncing out of bed and skipping to work.

That is the $1,000,000 question. I don't see it as a problem, I get up feeling OK, get to work on time and work all day and repeat the cycle. I never get drunk to the point I abuse people, wobble or make a tit of myself, I never feel like a beer whilst at work or for breakfast as I would think a problem drinker does.
So, A bit like scamp and Ole have said I want to do this to prove I can, Thus proving I dont have a problem and I am in control and consciously decide to drink every night as against a subconscious need to drink every night.

I used to work with a guy who was a proper functioning alcoholic - I've seen him leave the bar smashed at 1am and give a presentation at 8am the following morning that was better than the rest of the management team who had spent the whole night prepping theirs. Was his drinking a problem? Certainly - he stopped and lost 30kgs in about 8 months...!

I remember having a concrete foreman working for me years ago who had 2 cans of cider for breakfast before leaving his caravan and heading over to the batching plant and you would never know - Madness.

That's where I differ. I don't get myself smashed (Certainly during the week), my hangovers are way too bad and I end up rolling into work mid afternoon. I am more of a casual grazer - Bottle of wine and a bottle or 2 of beer or cider over a 4/5 hour period with dinner then bed. Sounds harmless..............

I drink very little these days. I get shocking hangovers so it just isn't worth it and it's very rare indeed for me to drink at home unless we have company. I have no idea how people can function if they drink heavily every day.
I'll sponsor you for a good cause, but not until you have completed the month. The more incentives the better. And good luck.

Diet/Exercise - Drop 10 kgs before Easter.

To be an 'Almost Alcoholic':
You continue to drink despite at least some negative consequences - I don't understand, like feeling crap the next day or potential liver failure? I have to answer yes.
You look forward to drinking. Yeah, when I know I'm going for beers I look forward to it.
You drink alone. I have before, it's nice sometimes to go for a beer and chill on your own with the paper. But this is rare for me, so I'll say no.
You sometimes drink in order to control emotional and/or physical symptoms. Erm, I don't know? If you have a shit day then a beer can be appealing, so yeah, I guess so.
You and your loved ones are suffering as a result of your drinking I've never really been the complete dickhead when drunk, occasionally a bit lairy and might tell people what I think but never enough for anyone to 'suffer'
