I can't remember much of it, and the taxi driver who had to wake me up when I arrived at my apartment block didn't seem to know much either..........

Golf is my new found love. Yeah the courses are full of fat middle aged ***** and slow playing Koreans but it's bliss. 4hrs of no phone, no TV, no contact, no nothing. It's glorious. Plus, the mrs plays and it sounds wet but 4+hrs of nothing but chatting and having a laugh is delightful.

I'm sure the same is going to happen with triathlon. I'm full on at everything then one day I'll just sack it for good.
Totally agree about the 4hrs of "me" time. Loads of people like riding in groups for the social aspect. I like nothing better than to get on my bike and hammer 4 hours alone just to gather my thoughts on life in general

Re: Xmas Meet Up
Mate, of course I am not serious about golf. I was dragged up on golf courses living a pitching wedge away from St Andrews and carnoustie. I played every single day and was a good player but in 2006 I just burnt out and hit my last ever ball.

Tried 5-a-side here but everyone just wants to fight.
Tried American football but too many yanks taking it way too seriously. It was first practice, not the ****ing Super Bowl.
Need to give basketball a whirl.

Re: Xmas Meet Up
Weightlifters as in the types you see at fitness first, steroid pumping bufoons. Crossfit and innerfight is completely different. I've had a couple of sessions with the guys at Innerfight and it is amazing. They really know about everything from lifting some serious weights to body balance, core stability, primal warm ups etc. Really worth while going if you are into that.
