Today I had to send some doc to UK so I went to the local DHL office as the small guy who used DHL as his contractor on the rare occasions I use couriers, moved from Oud Metha to somewhere in Al Qussais.

Couldn't be bothered to chase the best price but rather surprised the operative insisted in opening the letter so he could check what was actually in it after I had declared documents! How long has this been happening?

I think you'll find it in their T&C's that they have the right to inspect everything being sent through them.

Seems odd. Fortunately it wasn't evidence of the millions I have made in Dubai over the years!!

Perhaps he was suspicious when he couldn't find any of my previous transactions by inputting my mobile number. Rather feel the last time I used DHL was before mobiles were available in the handheld version in Dubai!
