As I was saying................ the first part of this (as the young Christian Bale salutes the kamikaze pilots who are about to take off, and sings that stunningly beautiful song) is as moving a scene as you could wish to see.

The one film that really did make me cry was "Stepmum" with Julia Roberts and the red head one ... Sarandson or something.

I might not have cried if I had not have had kids of my own. I think the crying factor was in imagining how one would personally cope in that kind of situation ................. and if you put yourself in that situation - it makes you cry.
As a mummy anyway.
