In NW Saudi where the Nabaetan tombs are there's the wreck of the Hejazi railroad which was 'de-commissioned' by Lawrie a hundred years back. Old carriages and stations still just sat there as backwater Saudi life continues around them.

the rails didn't last long but you'd be driving along and see shells of carriages. A few of the stations are wrecks and one yard has been restored.

I love the landscape in that area. (Not been to that part of Saudi, but along the Jordan border it's great)
