Your point is a fair one - people writing in their own tongue should be able to do so with precision, proper grammar & a fair degree of elegance. Anything less is a failure of the education system.

I appreciate that. I do feel shamed by how most English people can't speak more than one language fluently. I don't know if it's a cultural superiority complex or a flaw in the education system or what.
