Would you date a facebook pokebuddy?

BE night out was not so different really - pre-party chat, party, pictures, post-party chat.
It's called mirror-worlds in the jargon - your virtual world reflects your real world.

OK - as a f'rinstance. On Fri night, I went to a party that had been organized by a friend who was popping over for the UK for a few days. She posted it as an event on facebook, sent out an invite list (so then you get to check out who else has accepted, and make an informed choice about whether it is a party you'd like to attend or not). It's just an alternative to emailing, texting or phoning them. Then you get people putting up photos after the event, tagging each other in the pictures, chatting about it afterwards. Oh, and the people you didn't know beforehand often end up on your friends list afterwards....

But what i'm wondering about here is whether a facebook blind date is just as sad as using a lonely hearts column?

I always thought 'poking' was something else!
a cyber poke would certainly not get anyone a date with me! hee hee
