All the locals I know call their clothes Canduras and have no idea what a dishdash is...

While you are still wearing it, why not do some chores like visiting the bank or DEWA and get yourself to the front of the queue.

FWIW - Kandura is very much an Emirati word and Dishdasha is a kind of slang version. If you go to Saudi or Kuwait (and I think Qatar) you will find it is called a Thobe.
