Because everyone's different, perhaps? A lot of people don't like the taste of higher-cocoa chocolate. It all depends on what you're used to, which is why Americans are able to eat Hershey's without gagging, and indeed why they insist on Hershey's retaining the soured milk in the recipe.

Wouldn't it be great if those baby-head chocolates were filled with fondant? It would add a certain something to the theatre of smashing them open.

It's not the point is it, it's about studying what you consume as an individual and what heath benefit you derive from what you eat.

Candle wax would be an improvement, it's more like ear wax...

Hershey's smells like vomit...doesn't taste any better either.

Yes, because everybody actually does that.

And sorry, but taste is *completely* the point. People eat things they like the flavour of, and avoid things they don't. Relative health benefits don't really enter the equation. Everybody knows that raw veggies are better for you than chips, but many people prefer the taste of chips, so...

When I'm on a healthy eating regime I eat high-cocoa (over 70%) chocolate as a treat. It is very good for you when it's pure and has less added sugar. And it tastes great.

When I'm not on a healthy eating regime I eat Cadbury's Fruit 'n' Nut bars galore!

Carrefour's own brand milk chocolate - it doesn't melt - just reforms into disgusting hard balls!! I say no more!

I much prefer dark chocolate, so henceforth will claim it's a health food.

Sounds like a win-win situation.
