Re: Wimbledoom
When we all calm down, that will be seen as a truly great performance, destroying one of the all-time greats in straight sets............ any stats freaks know the last time Djokovic lost a five-setter in three straight? I think 2009 at the US Open v Federer, but I stand to be corrected...........

Re: Wimbledoom
I always thought Andy Murray was a cock but I'm warming to him...
Seen the Documentary on him ??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=155u4ytvjvM
I acknowledge that he is committed to his sport and he does have one of those droning voices, I think hes just one of those serious young men...and very proud of being from Scotland.
Hasn't he donated his winnings to Cancer Research ??

Re: Wimbledoom
He's already got an OBE, if they gave Bradley Wiggins a knighthood for being the first British winner of the Tour de France, then Murray should get one, in 12 months he's won US Open, Olympics gold and silver, and Wimbledon. First Brit grand slam event winner for 76 years (US open), first British Wimbledon winner for 77 years.

Re: Wimbledoom
Ah right, it appears the rumours are going around he has donated his Wimbledon winnings too. Not true apparently after doing a bit more digging.
Nice gesture >>>>>http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/t...queens-1957817

a political shitstorm has begun because apparently
This is acceptable
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...ys-Henman.html
and this
"Pack away the St George's flags, put the face paints back on the shelf because Henmania is over for another year."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/tennis/3854329.stm
but this isnt
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/t...inal---1166411
and this is really what its all about
The First Minister of Scotland holding a Saltire when a Scottish born player wins Wimbledon.
Would people prefer that he had held up a Union Flag?
