Euro 2012 is Al Jazeera , they've only just signed for the rights in April , advetising should hit soon i suppose .

If I recall, coverage of the Beijing Olympics was horrendous here: barely two AJ channels and impossible to find what was on when. Athletics, in particular, does not have much of a following locally so the whole thing semed to be an afterthought. Think what paltry coverage the world athletics championships get here..

No doubt the Olympic football will get wall-to-wall exposure though, since the UAE are in it.

Anyone know if Euro 2012 will be on BBC/ITV in the UK? Hoping so as was planning to watch them through the ITV/iplayer.

They usually split the games through Group stage then knockouts plus tender for the England games.

Usually if England get knocked out the knockout stages are a damp squib as the interest wanes
